1. The name of the association is Joensuu-Ghana seura ry, in Swedish Joensuu-Ghana föreningen r.f. The association uses an unofficial English name Joensuu-Ghana Registered Association.

2. Joensuu-Ghana Association cooperates together with other humanitarian associations, organizations, NGOs and with Ghanaian and Finnish authorities. The Association is politically independant.

3.The purpose of the Association is to encourage the friendship, collaboration, cultural exchange and development cooperation between Ghana and Finland. The Association tries to increase the knowledge of Finnish people about Ghana and the knowledge of Ghanaians about Finland.
