The visit to Ghana in October was very rewarding. There was no "dark and rainy" autumn in Ghana. The weather was hot, the sun was shining and we could enjoy the light. One of the best and most touching things during our trip was a visit to Trinity Lutheran Church of Tema. Our Ghanaian brothers and sisters show their christianity in normal everyday life, too, they are filled with joy and peace, harmony and love. The water project had its official opening ceremony. We also took part in a stakeholders' meeting in Dodowa, Dangme-West. We hope Sota community will have water by the end of August, 2009.
The opening of the water project
Our godchildren and the relatives taking care of them were all fine. The new schoolbuilding was ready, so now it is possible for children to get basic school education in their own village. We brought books, excecise books, pens and pencils etc. with us for the school. More books and shelves would be neededto the library, cupboards, manilla boards to classrooms, ballpoint pens, felt pens, mathematical sets etc.etc.
