The 52nd Independence Day of Ghana is on 6th March. Due to winter holidays we celebrate it on Saturday 14th March at Noljakka Church. In the programme there are speeches, poems, Ghanaian children's songs and music. Three of the musicians are Ghanaian exchange students from the Academy if Sibelius, Helsinki, where they study in the department of Church music. One musician, also a Ghanaian exchange student, is from the University of Joensuu.
